Caribbean Recipes - Spicy Trinidad Curry Chicken Recipe

Our recipe is one of several Caribbean. Each island has its own version of curry. The Curry Chicken recipe is from Trinidad and is really Caribbean. The Indians came to this part of the world after slavery was abolished. Your kitchen went through a metamorphosis and the curry we cook today has no resemblance to those from India and Pakistan.

Caribbean Recipes - Curry Chicken

2 pounds chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces 4 potatoespeeled and diced 1 large onion 1 1 / 2 ounces chopped. Curry powder 6 garlic cloves, minced 1 / 2 tsp. Hot Pepper Sauce 1 1 / 2 tsp. Salt or 2 cups water 1 / 4 cup vegetable oil flavor.

Secret Ingredient ... 3 tbsp. Tamarind paste, diced 1 large green mango or 3 tbsp. Lemon juice

The secret to a really special curry is fry stirring the dry powder for a few seconds before the meat. This process is the curry flavor, which is then absorbed in full from the meat.

* Heat theOil in a saucepan and then add the onion and garlic.

* Stir-fry for two minutes or until the onions are limp.

* Add salt and curry powder and continue stir-frying for about ten seconds more.

* Add the meat and stir to coat with the curry mixture.

* Cover the pan and let it cook for about five minutes, stirring at least twice during this time.

* The water, pepper sauce, tamarind paste and add potatoes and continue cooking over medium heat until the potatoesare soft and the meat is fully cooked. This takes about 25 minutes.

Cooking Tip: When you add lemon juice, not until the last ten minutes of cooking. The reason for this is because the lemon juice prevents the potatoes to quit.

Serve with roti or over hot cooked rice.

Sweet Potato Recipes - Easy Potato Recipes

Sweet potatoes contain no fat and sodium. Sweet potatoes are harvested in August-October and are available in supermarkets year-round available. 3 / 4 teaspoon salt

1 / 3 chopped pecans

1. Preheat the oven to 350 * F. Peel the sweet potatoes Scrub thoroughly with a vegetable brush, but not. Pierce sweet potatoesPrick with a fork on all sides so that steam during baking sweet potatoes to escape. Place sweet potatoes directly on oven rack.

Substitute orange juice for the water to orange sweet potato pecan mix. Add 1 tablespoon grated orange zest with the brown sugar in Step 4 Remove the pecans.

Cajun Chicken Recipes

This Cajun chicken recipes are delicious. To verify this, and I'm sure you will be surprised, surprising.

2 skinless boneless chicken breast halves into thin strips

1 c whipping cream (1 to 2)

Place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a bowl or resalable plastic bag, throw or shake to coat. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chicken in butter until almost tender, about 5-7 minutes. Add peppers, mushrooms and onions, cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Reduce heat. Cream and spices, and heat through. Add linguine and throw heatthrough. The whole thing with Parmesan, if desired.

>> Cajun Chicken Wings

2 1 / 2 lb. chicken wings, separated

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 c flour

1 / 2 c Cajun seasoning oil for frying

2 / 3 c Louisiana hot sauce.

3 / 4 c plain yogurt

In a bowl, mix yogurt, hot sauce and garlic. Add chicken to marinate and place overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, flour and Cajun seasonings give in a bowl. Remove chicken from marinade and takeCoat evenly with flour mixture. In a wok or deep fryer, heat oil 370F. This can be achieved by heating it over medium heat.

You use enough oil to cover 4 to 5 chicken wings at a time. Fry wings for approximately 8 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Serves 2 to 4

Bake the whole thing at about 390 degrees and 420 degrees for a maximum time of 1 hour.

Serve: 1 persons.

Combine mayonnaise, onion, cheese, butter and salt and set aside. Bake fish for 6 to 8 minutes in a 450-degree oven until fish flakes with a fork. Remove from the oven. Spread cheese mixture over the top and is again melted in the over to broil until the cheese.

Roasted salmon with herbs
1 1 / 2lbs. fresh salmon fillets
1 / 2 cup milk
1 / 2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. Dried basil
1 / 4 tsp. Salt
1 egg, beaten
1 / 2 C finely ground bread crumbs
1 tbsp. melted butter

Dip fish fillets in milk, then in a mixture of flour, salt and basil. Add egg to remaining milk and beat lightly to. Add to add the remaining bread crumbs flour mixture. Dip fish into egg-milk mixture, then into flour-bread crumb mixture. Place in greased baking pan. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 450Degrees for 10 minutes, fish flakes when you're done.

BAKED roughy
2 lbs. Orange roughy
4-5 carrots
1 stalk celery
2 large tomatoes
1 bunch green onions
4-5 small potatoes
1 tbsp. Butter
Seasonings of choice

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Put put foil in the bottom of a casserole dish and fish. The whole thing with ingredients of your choice. Peeled carrots, sliced fish or sliced. Asparagus Rolls Serves 4

Ingredients




1 kg of fresh asparagus


4 slices Swiss cheese


4 slices thinly sliced deli ham or turkey or ham


4 T. butter, melted


1 C dried bread or regular bread crumbs


½ C. grated Parmesan cheese

Steps




Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.


Take a large pot of water to a boil. Cook asparagus in boiling water for 1 minutes. Remove, and drain.


Layer a piece of cheese on a slice of ham, then you use about 3 to cut up to 4 asparagus spears on the cheese into slices.


Roll the ham andCheese over the asparagus, convenient and secure with a toothpick. Repeat with remaining ham, cheese and asparagus.


Place all the rolls in a pan, then pour melted butter over the entire court.


Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.


The baking time is about 15 minutes, or until the mixture forms a crumb crust.

When buying fresh, look for stems that are firm and fairly straight, with well-trained, tightly closed tips. Quick and Easy Fish Casserole

Ingredients for this > Recipe:


1lb. raw fish
1 can cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 cup cooked peas (can of peas are good)

Method for this recipe:


Steam the fish in a little water.
Drain, if the fish cooked.
Mix the remaining ingredients and pour it over the fish in an oven ovenproof dish.
Bake the fish at 375 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.

Easy Haddock and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients for this> Recipe:


1 ½ lb. Haddock
1 egg
Tomatoes
½ strong cheese, grated
1 cup milk
Butter

Method for this recipe:


Cook the haddock for 5 minutes and pour the liquid
Flake the haddock.
Put a little of the haddock at the bottom of the oven ovenproof dish.
A layer of tomatoes and a layer of cheese on the fish.
Repeat the layers, used up all the fish.
Beat the eggs and milk and pour it over the fish.
Season with alittle pepper to taste.
Place chunks of butter on the fish.
Bake the fish in a moderate oven, until the egg is set.

I have to be honest with you, I'm not very good with cooking fish. I tend to fish too long, and then it turns out, very dry and tasteless. This is the reason why I love fish recipes that are baked in a sort of a sauce, since it does not dry out so easily.

Another very simple way of cooking white fish is simply a little butter with a package of mixTomato soup and a little boiling water. Pour this over your fish portions and easy to cook in the microwave until cooked. To determine whether the fish just a part of a small piece in the middle and when the fish is no longer transparent, it is cooked is cooked.
